Singapore President Visits Odisha to Strengthen Ties, Boost Innovation and Skill Development

The partnership aims to support India's goal of 'Insurance for All' by 2047, enhancing access to insurance and contributing to financial security.
Tharman praised India's rapid transformation over the past decade, highlighting significant reductions in rural poverty and advancements in the digital sector.
The visit also aims to empower local communities, particularly women, by improving skills for better employment opportunities.
Security measures have been heightened in Bhubaneswar, with 40 police platoons deployed and traffic restrictions implemented to ensure smooth movement during the visit.
The agreements will also focus on enhancing the capacity and industry engagement of zonal industrial training institutes across Odisha.
Overall, the visit signifies a commitment to deepening ties between Singapore and India, with a focus on mutual growth and development.
