Former Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad revealed in a recent interview that the head of a secret unit established by Tehran to counter Israeli Mossad operations was actually an Israeli agent.

This unit, aimed at thwarting Mossad's activities in Iran, was compromised as early as 2021, according to Ahmadinejad.

Ahmadinejad further alleged that these double agents played a role in the assassinations of several Iranian nuclear scientists.

He claimed that these agents provided critical information to Israel regarding Iran's nuclear program and were involved in the theft of sensitive nuclear documents in 2018.

These revelations come on the heels of reports indicating that an Iranian spy had alerted Israel to the location of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah, leading to his subsequent death in an airstrike.
