Two police officers and a paramedic were killed in Burnsville, Minnesota while responding to a domestic abuse call.

The fallen individuals were identified as officers Paul Elmstrand and Matthew Ruge, both 27, and firefighter-paramedic Adam Finseth, 40.

A third officer, Sgt. Adam Medlicott, was injured but is expected to survive.

The suspect involved was killed after a standoff with law enforcement; no family members in the home were harmed.
