Andrey Demskiy, a 28-year-old man from Antelope, California, is facing serious charges including murder and assault following the tragic death of his one-year-old son, Micah Gabriel Demskiy.

Authorities allege that Demskiy decapitated his son and assaulted his wife and mother-in-law during a domestic incident on December 20, 2024.

The incident prompted deputies to respond to a domestic disturbance at Demskiy's home, where he initially refused to allow them entry.

Upon forcing entry, deputies discovered Micah's body in the bedroom, leading to Demskiy's arrest.

Public defender Norman Dawson mentioned that Demskiy has significant mental health issues, which will be investigated further.

Demskiy appeared in court on December 24, 2024, where family members and friends were visibly emotional during the arraignment.

Currently, Demskiy is in custody without bail, with his next court hearing scheduled for March 13, 2025.

Sgt. Amar Gandhi of the Sacramento County Sheriff's Office described Micah's death as one of the most horrific cases he has encountered in 20 years, noting that deputies were visibly shaken by the discovery.
