Fatal Three-Car Crash on I-95 in Delaware: One Dead, One Injured

The incident, which occurred at approximately 4:18 a.m., involved a Hyundai Tucson, a Kia Forte, and a stationary Freightliner bucket truck.
The bucket truck, driven by a 61-year-old man from Mineral Point, Wisconsin, had been parked on the right shoulder for vehicle maintenance.
The 29-year-old driver of the Kia Forte, traveling alongside the Hyundai, collided with the stationary bucket truck.
The driver of the Hyundai was unharmed, while the bucket truck driver sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to a hospital.
Tragically, the Kia driver was ejected from the vehicle due to not wearing a seatbelt and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The impact of the collision caused the Kia to rebound into the center lane, striking the Hyundai Tucson.
Delaware State police are conducting an ongoing investigation into the crash and are seeking witnesses to contact Sergeant J. Jefferson.
