The Showboat Majestic, America's last active floating theater, is currently in violation of state and federal regulations.

The boat's owner, Joe Brumley, has been neglecting his responsibilities and breaking contracts related to the boat's operations.

Multiple government agencies including Ohio State Historic Preservation Office, the Ohio History Connection, National Park Service, and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers have been alerted and expressed concerns.

Despite efforts to find a new owner for the Majestic, Brumley has shown no interest in selling.

Point Pleasant, West Virginia, the boat's original home, is willing to refurbish the Majestic, but funding is required.
