Founded in 2012, Clearpoint Recycling collaborates with various Yorkshire companies, including Yorwaste and H W Martin Waste Ltd, to effectively market recovered recyclable materials.
This deal is designed to bolster the UK's recycling infrastructure and support the government's Deposit Return Scheme (DRS), ensuring a dependable supply chain for recovered PET bottles.
The five-year contract is anticipated to create highly skilled jobs within the recycling sector, contributing to local employment opportunities.
Mark Garrett, managing director of Clearpoint Recycling, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, highlighting its potential for job creation and the company's growth.
Under this exclusive agreement, Clearpoint Recycling will supply 35,000 tonnes of PET material annually to Enviroo's new recycling plant in Ellesmere Port, which is scheduled to open in 2027.
The facility will focus on converting PET waste into certified food-grade recycled PET (rPET), addressing the increasing global demand for sustainable materials.
Clearpoint Recycling, headquartered in Harrogate, has secured a landmark nine-figure contract with Cheshire's Enviroo, a specialist in PET recycling.
