On Monday, the UK government will host its inaugural international business summit aimed at attracting investment to bolster its growth strategy.

Key figures at the summit will include Labour leader Keir Starmer, Chancellor Rachel Reeves, and executives from major firms such as Google, BlackRock, and Aviva.

Attendees will have the chance to interact with cabinet ministers and first ministers from Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland, along with regional mayors.

Prime Minister Rishi Sunak is set to participate in a discussion with former Google CEO Eric Schmidt, which will be moderated by Emma Walmsley, CEO of GSK.

A panel discussion on decarbonising the National Grid will feature Octopus Energy CEO Greg Jackson and Macquarie Group's Shemara Wikramanayake.

Panels will also cover topics such as health data innovation, with contributions from NHS England CEO Amanda Pritchard and Google DeepMind’s Pushmeet Kohli.

The event will be held at London’s Guildhall and will conclude with an evening reception at St Paul’s Cathedral, hosted by King Charles.

The creative sector will be represented by a panel that includes Gareth Southgate, Adjoa Andoh, and Universal Music Group CEO Lucian Grainge.

To enhance public engagement, the summit will be livestreamed on LinkedIn, allowing a wider audience to participate.
