The highly anticipated Bobby Darin musical 'Just In Time,' starring Jonathan Groff, has postponed its Broadway opening to April 26, 2025, at Circle in the Square Theatre.

Originally scheduled to begin previews on March 28 and open on April 23, the musical will now start previews on March 31, with an additional performance on April 24.

An opening celebration will still take place on April 23, but reviews will not be published until the official opening night.

The production features an impressive creative team, including scenic design by Derek McLane and costume design by Catherine Zuber, both of whom are Tony Award winners.

Directed by Tony winner Alex Timbers, the immersive staging follows Bobby Darin's life story and features his greatest hits, including 'Beyond the Sea' and 'Mack the Knife.'

Groff describes the show as a love affair with the audience, highlighting Darin's unique connection through his music.

Henningsen, who plays Sandra Dee, expressed excitement about the audience's role in enhancing the theatrical experience.

Choreographer Shannon Lewis noted the interactive nature of the production, allowing performers to engage directly with the audience.

The date change allows the production extra time to adjust to the venue's nightclub setting, reminiscent of Bobby Darin's performance style.

The cast includes a talented ensemble of 11 actors alongside Groff, with notable performances from Erika Henningsen and Michele Pawk.

Timbers emphasizes the immersive experience, where the action unfolds throughout the performance space, creating a vibrant nightclub atmosphere.

Despite the delay, 'Just In Time' will still meet the Tony Awards eligibility cutoff of April 27, 2025.
