Currently in preview performances, the musical BUENA VISTA SOCIAL CLUB is set to officially open on March 19, 2025, at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre in New York.

The show began its previews on February 21, 2025, and is inspired by the iconic Grammy-winning 1997 album of the same name.

Directed by Tony nominee Saheem Ali, known for his work on Fat Ham, the musical features a book by Marco Ramirez, recognized for The Royale.

Choreography is provided by Patricia Delgado and Tony Award winner Justin Peck, who has previously worked on productions like Illinoise and Steven Spielberg's West Side Story.

The musical's band includes music supervision by Dean Sharenow and orchestrations by Marco Paguia, with additional arrangements by Javier Diaz and David Oquendo.

The original Buena Vista Social Club album, recorded in just seven days in 1996, has sold over eight million copies, becoming a significant cultural phenomenon.

The story takes audiences to the heart of Cuba, showcasing vibrant music and dance that reflect the rich culture and history of Havana.

The Broadway cast features Natalie Venetia Belcon as Omara and Julio Monge as Compay, among other notable actors.

Design elements of the production include scenic design by Arnulfo Maldonado, costume design by Dede Ayite, and lighting design by Tyler Micoleau.

The production's producing team includes notable figures such as Orin Wolf, Barbara Broccoli, and John Leguizamo, with Allan Williams serving as executive producer.

Saheem Ali, along with choreographers Patricia Delgado and Justin Peck, previously staged the musical's world premiere at the Atlantic Theater Company in 2023.
