The Australian premiere of 'Elf: The Musical' is set to take place at the Sydney Opera House from December 19 to December 29, 2024.

Based on the New Line Cinema film by David Berenbaum, the musical follows Buddy's journey in New York City after he discovers he is human, having been raised among elves.

Buddy faces various challenges in the city, including a father who is on the naughty list and a half-brother who doesn't believe in him.

Gareth Isaac will star as Buddy, with Simon Burke portraying Walter Hobbs and Brianna Bishop as Jovie.

The cast also includes Lara Mulcahy as Santa, Katrina Retallick as Emily Hobbs, and Oscar Bridges as Michael Hobbs.

Additional cast members include Andrew Dunne as Mr. Greenway and Madeleine Mackenzie as Deb, along with an ensemble of performers from renowned productions like 'Mary Poppins', 'Hamilton', and 'West Side Story'.

The production is directed by Eric Giancola, featuring choreography by Mitchell Woodcock and musical direction by Vanessa Scammell, supported by a 15-member on-stage band.
