The musical 'The Queen of Versailles' is set to make its Broadway debut during the 2025-26 season following a world premiere at the Emerson Colonial Theatre in Boston.

Based on Lauren Greenfield's 2012 documentary, the musical chronicles Jackie and David Siegel's ambitious project to build the largest private home in America amidst financial struggles.

The production features music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz, a book by Lindsey Ferrentino, and is directed by Tony Award winner Michael Arden.

Notable figures involved in the production include Mary-Mitchell Campbell for music supervision and Christian Cowan for costume design.

Kristin Chenoweth stars as Jacqueline 'Jackie' Siegel, with F. Murray Abraham portraying her husband, David Siegel, alongside a talented cast that includes Melody Butiu and Isabel Keating.

The principal cast also features Stephen DeRosa, Greg Hildreth, Tatum Grace Hopkins, and Nina White.

Choreography for the musical is by Lauren Yalango-Grant and Christopher Cree Grant.

The production is produced by Bill Damaschke, Seaview, and Kristin Chenoweth's Diva Worldwide Entertainment.

The show's narrative explores themes of fame, fortune, and family, particularly during the Great Recession of 2008.

Producers announced the upcoming Broadway run, highlighting the positive response from audiences during the Boston previews.

The production will run in Boston until August 25, 2024, before moving to Broadway.
