Sean Williams, a 53-year-old man from Tennessee, has been sentenced to 95 years in prison for producing child sexual abuse images and escaping from an inmate transport van.

While incarcerated, Williams was caught with razor blades hidden in his shoes during a court transport, highlighting his continued attempts to evade the law.

During the investigation, police discovered Williams' vehicle contained illegal drugs, approximately $100,000 in cash, and over 5,000 images of child sexual abuse.

Evidence has linked Williams to the sexual assault of at least 52 women, many of whom were unconscious during the attacks.

Judge J. Ronnie Greer described Williams as an unrepentant 'organized, methodical sexual predator of women and children,' emphasizing the severity of his crimes.

Williams previously escaped custody in October 2023 but was recaptured in Florida a month later.

This settlement potentially covers up to 400 women, including minors, who reported sexual abuse or trafficking to the Johnson City Police during the specified time frame.

In addition to the settlement, two more federal lawsuits against Johnson City and police officers are still pending regarding the investigation of the sexual assault reports against Williams.

Currently, Williams faces additional charges related to minors in Tennessee state court and is also charged in North Carolina federal court with possessing child sexual abuse images and illegal drugs.

Earlier in February 2025, Johnson City officials agreed to a $28 million settlement for a lawsuit filed by women who alleged police mishandled sexual assault investigations involving Williams from 2018 to 2021.

During his sentencing hearing, Williams belittled the prosecution and dismissed the evidence against him, suggesting that the images were fake.
