Claudiu-Carol Kondor, a 42-year-old Amazon delivery driver, was allegedly murdered in Leeds following a van theft.

A 32-year-old man has been arrested in connection with Mr. Kondor's death and remains in police custody as the investigation continues.

West Yorkshire Police have launched a murder investigation and are appealing for witnesses to come forward regarding the theft and subsequent events.

Kondor was found seriously injured by police around 6:50 PM after attempting to stop the theft of his van shortly after delivering a package nearby.

Witnesses reported that as the thief drove off with Kondor partially inside the van, he was dragged along the ground before the vehicle crashed into two parked cars.

Emergency services arrived to find Kondor unconscious and despite receiving treatment, he was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after.

The van was stolen on Alliance Street, approximately half a mile from where Mr. Kondor was found, with local residents trying to assist him.

Detective Chief Inspector James Entwistle emphasized the need for public assistance in locating Eddie Hampshire, a second suspect wanted in connection with the murder.

Police are conducting extensive inquiries to identify the individual responsible for this tragic incident.
