Drake Bell has expressed interest in potentially rebooting his Nickelodeon sitcom 'Drake & Josh,' two decades after its premiere.

He and his former co-star Josh Peck have discussed a buddy comedy format for the reboot, rather than simply revisiting their original characters.

While they can still use their names as characters, Bell emphasized a desire to explore new comedic scenarios instead of replicating the original series.

In an interview, Bell stated that he prefers a unique project that feels special rather than following the trend of reboots currently popular in Hollywood.

He highlighted the importance of making the reboot special and different from the numerous reboots currently being produced.

This discussion follows the release of the docuseries 'Quiet on Set,' where Bell revealed he suffered abuse from dialogue coach Brian Peck during his time on Nickelodeon.

Despite initial speculation about tension due to Peck's delayed public response to the documentary, Bell confirmed they remain on good terms and that Peck has offered support.

Bell stated he has received incredible support from fans since the documentary's release, encouraging others to share their own stories with him.

Brian Peck pled no contest to the abuse charges and received a 16-month prison sentence, along with mandatory sex offender registration.

After 'Drake & Josh,' Bell focused on his music career and voice acting, while Peck appeared in various TV shows and films, including 'How I Met Your Father' and 'Oppenheimer.'

Nickelodeon has successfully revived several classic shows from the 1990s and 2000s with original casts, such as 'Good Burger,' 'Zoey 101,' and 'iCarly,' which starred Miranda Cosgrove from 'Drake & Josh.'

The original 'Drake & Josh' aired for four seasons from 2004 to 2007 and also featured Miranda Cosgrove as their sister Megan.
