Overwatch 2 Season 12 is set to launch on August 20, 2023, introducing exciting new content.

Among the new features is a character named Juno, previously codenamed Space Ranger, who has been tested during a trial weekend.

Juno's abilities include Glide Boost for increased speed, Hyper Ring to enhance ally movement, and her ultimate, Orbital Ray, which heals allies and boosts their damage.

The season will also see a rank reset in competitive play and the introduction of two repurposed maps from Overwatch 1: Temple of Anubis and a reimagined Hanamura called Hanaoka.

The battle pass rewards will include 80 Mythic Prisms, a 20% XP boost, and 500 Credits, with both Premium and Ultimate Battle Passes available.

Players can expect new skins, including Illari's 'Thoth' skin inspired by the Egyptian deity, and Ashe's 'Dorothy' skin, which references The Wizard of Oz.

Additionally, players will have access to various skins in the in-game shop, with exclusive rewards for Xbox Game Pass subscribers.

The introduction of free skins aims to enhance the gaming experience for players of the free-to-play title.

The advertisement for Season 12 hints at a new game mode called 'Clash' and suggests a possible collaboration with World of Warcraft, including the iconic weapon Frostmourne.

Blizzard is also making foundational changes to regain player interest, including potential updates to gameplay mechanics and hero balancing.
