Senator Linda Reynolds is suing former staffer Brittany Higgins for defamation, alleging a conspiracy to damage Reynolds' political career.

Reynolds has amended her claim to include tortious conspiracy, accusing Higgins of malicious intent through social media posts in July 2023.

The trial is set to begin on August 2 and will involve over 20 witnesses, including other Liberal senators and possibly former Prime Minister Scott Morrison.
