James Gunn has officially wrapped filming on the highly anticipated Superman movie, expressing heartfelt gratitude to the cast and crew involved in the production.

Nicholas Hoult, who plays the iconic villain Lex Luthor, has also completed his filming for the project.

Gunn announced the conclusion of filming on social media, sharing a photo from the first week of shooting in Svalbard, Norway.

Reflecting on the experience, Gunn described the film as a story about a good man navigating a challenging world, emphasizing the positivity that inspired him throughout the production.

The film stars David Corenswet as Superman and Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, alongside a talented ensemble cast including Nathan Fillion as Green Lantern, Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl, and Milly Alcock as Supergirl.

Other notable cast members include Skyler Gisondo as Jimmy Olsen, Edi Gathegi, and Anthony Carrigan, with Will Reeve making a cameo as a TV reporter.

This film is part of the DC Universe Chapter One: Gods and Monsters, overseen by Gunn and co-boss Peter Safran.

Before the Superman movie's release, a small-screen animated series titled Creature Commandos will debut.

Superman is scheduled for theatrical release on July 11, 2025.

As a wrap gift, Gunn received a Superman comic book from Hoult, symbolizing the collaborative spirit of the project.
