Nevada, Arizona, and Nebraska are working to add abortion access to their state constitutions for the November ballot.

Nebraska's coalition has gathered enough signatures for an amendment allowing abortion up to fetal viability at around 24 weeks, with exceptions for life and health.

Opponents in Nebraska have also submitted signatures for anti-abortion measures, including one that would ban abortion after the first trimester except in specific circumstances.

There are challenges and competing measures that may affect the progress of the pro-reproductive rights effort.

All submitted signatures in the states will be verified by August 22 to prepare for possible legal challenges.
