Jennifer Garner experienced an unforgettable incident at her first Comic-Con when she got stuck in an elevator at the Hard Rock Hotel in San Diego for over an hour.

The rescue operation lasted over an hour, during which Garner entertained herself and others by singing 'Like a Prayer' and '99 Bottles of Beer.'

After about 45 minutes, Garner and her group decided to call 911 for assistance, humorously confused about their location, thinking they were in Las Vegas instead of San Diego.

Firefighters successfully opened the elevator doors after one hour and 12 minutes, prompting cheers from Garner and the others trapped inside.

Garner documented her elevator ordeal on Instagram, humorously captioning it, 'Baby’s first Comic Con: a short story.'

Her Instagram post received numerous comments from celebrities, including Gina Torres and Gwyneth Paltrow, praising her calm demeanor during the incident.

Despite the elevator incident, Garner made it to her panel at Comic-Con, where she surprised fans after a screening of 'Deadpool & Wolverine.'

Garner's appearance at Comic-Con was to promote her role as Elektra in 'Deadpool & Wolverine,' nearly 20 years after first portraying the character.

Her return as Elektra was highly anticipated, as reported by Variety in July 2023.

During her time trapped, Garner humorously expressed her need for a superhero, saying, 'I could use a Wolverine, I could use a Deadpool.'

At one point, she suggested to her fellow passengers that they sit down to conserve energy, recalling advice from TV shows.

As the situation progressed, she noted the rising temperature and expressed discomfort, saying, 'It’s toasty. I’m sphitzy, I need to blot.'
