The SAG-AFTRA National Board has authorized Executive Director Duncan Crabtree-Ireland to call a strike for voice actors in the Interactive Media Agreement.

Negotiations have been ongoing for nearly two years, with artificial intelligence provisions being a primary issue.

Crabtree-Ireland indicated that a strike could be imminent if an agreement is not reached soon.

The potential strike would affect 10 companies, including major players like Activision, Disney, Electronic Arts, and Epic Games.

The last strike against gaming companies lasted 183 days during 2016-17.
