Stars and fans gathered in New York City for the red carpet premiere of season 2 of HBO's House of the Dragon.

Cast members from Team Black and Team Green, including Matt Smith, Olivia Cooke, Emma D’Arcy, Steve Toussaint, Eve Best, and Fabien Frankel, attended.

The upcoming season will focus on a civil war between the Green and Black Councils vying for the throne of King Aegon and Queen Rhaenyra.

Not all actors from the previous season will be returning.

Series creator Ryan Condal teased a 'very bloody feast' in season 2, hinting at the feud between the Targaryens and the Hightowers.

The premiere episode was screened, accompanied by dragon-inspired cocktails and a regal spread of desserts and charcuterie.

Fans had the chance to pose with a replica Iron Throne at the afterparty and received monogrammed lighters as souvenirs.

The trailer for season 2 is set to debut on June 16, with the season itself premiering on HBO on the same day.
