King Charles III and Queen Camilla have decided to scale back their upcoming Australian tour in October.

The planned trip to New Zealand has been canceled due to King Charles' ongoing battle with cancer.

The 75-year-old king is currently undergoing chemotherapy.

King Charles will visit Australia for six days before attending the CHOGM meeting in Samoa.

Plans include attending the Everest on October 19 and possibly presenting the trophy at the King Charles III Stakes at Royal Randwick on Everest Day.

Despite missing New Zealand, the Australian government and public continue to show support for the royal couple.

King Charles' commitment to climate and sustainability issues is being highlighted.

This will mark King Charles' 16th visit to Australia, with his last visit in 2018 for the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games.
