German authorities led an international operation named 'Endgame' targeting cybercriminals behind malware like IcedID, Bumblebee, and Trickbot.

The operation involved partners from various countries and resulted in the seizure of over 100 servers and 1,300 criminal domains globally.

The technical infrastructure of the dangerous Smokeloader dropper was among the assets seized.

Ten international arrest warrants were issued, leading to the arrest of four individuals, with eight more in Germany facing arrest warrants for spreading Trickbot malware.

Cryptocurrency wallets worth over 70 million euros were frozen during the operation.

Raids in multiple countries yielded significant evidence, with searches conducted in 16 locations across Armenia, the Netherlands, Portugal, and Ukraine.

Law enforcement agencies from the Netherlands, France, Denmark, the UK, Austria, and the USA, supported by Europol and the EU Agency for Criminal Justice Cooperation, participated in the operation.

BKA Vice President Martina Link praised the operation as a major success in combating cybercrime, focusing on infrastructures, actors, and financial resources of criminal organizations.
