Northamptonshire Police Chief Constable Nick Adderley is facing suspension over allegations of dishonesty regarding his military achievements.

A Ministry of Defence expert testified that a Falklands War medal worn by Adderley is fake.

Adderley is accused of misrepresenting his military past, including exaggerating his rank, length of service, and Royal Navy achievements.

Expert Chris Hayward determined that the medal is a copy, not of the same quality as official South Atlantic Medals.

Adderley claimed the medal was given to him by his brother, but it was revealed he falsely claimed to have served in the Royal Navy for a decade when he had only served two years.

The ongoing investigation is looking into Adderley's alleged breaches of standards in duties and responsibilities, with doubts raised about the authenticity of the medal submitted to the MoD.
