The Munich General Prosecutor's Office is investigating AfD members Petr Bystron and Hannes Gnauck for bribery, money laundering, and hate speech.

Bystron is additionally being probed for potential pro-Russian affiliations and financial dealings, while Gnauck is labeled an 'extremist' by military intelligence.

Both Bystron and Gnauck have had their parliamentary immunity lifted, enabling legal proceedings.

Bystron and another AfD politician, Maximilian Krah, face allegations of receiving payments from pro-Russian networks, with Krah also under investigation for suspected financial ties to China.

The AfD's national support has decreased following a series of scandals, with predictions of Bystron and Gnauck still securing EU Parliament seats.
