Former Jetstar captain Gregory Stuart Lynn is on trial for the alleged double murder of Russell Hill and Carol Clay in March 2020.

Prosecution suggests Lynn killed the couple without lawful excuse, potentially following a dispute involving his drone.

The defense posits the deaths were accidental, claiming Hill grabbed Lynn's gun, leading to a fatal struggle.

Lynn allegedly disposed of and incinerated the victims' bodies but subsequently guided police to their remains post-arrest.

The trial is set to continue for four to six weeks, with proceedings resuming Thursday for additional witness accounts.
