Actress Judith Godrèche led a protest outside the Centre national du cinéma in Paris, calling for the resignation of its president, Dominique Boutonnat, amid sexual assault allegations.

A petition backing Boutonnat's removal has gathered 1300 signatures, urging the CNC to be a role model in response to the #MeToo movement.

The CNC has implemented mandatory sexual harassment training for all funded film production teams.

The Cannes Film Festival is actively participating in the discourse on sexual violence, inviting Godrèche to present her short film 'Moi aussi' which addresses the subject.

Despite the charges and public discontent, Dominique Boutonnat was controversially reappointed as CNC President in 2022.

Boutonnat's trial is set to commence on June 14 in Nanterre, with the public and industry awaiting further developments.
