These newspapers, which include The New York Daily News and The Chicago Tribune, claim their content was used to train AI chatbots without permission.

The lawsuit aims to secure compensation and halt the unauthorized use of the newspapers' articles.

The publishers argue that content theft poses a significant threat to the vitality of local journalism.
