A twin-engine IAI Astra 1125 private jet crashed near Ingalls Field Airport in Hot Springs, Virginia, resulting in the death of all five people on board.

The passengers, including four adults and one juvenile, were traveling from Florida for an event at the Homestead Resort.

The aircraft encountered issues during its approach, struck trees, and crashed into a hillside before catching fire.

The private jet was registered to an Oklahoma aircraft trust company, with the NTSB leading the crash investigation.

A preliminary report on the crash is expected within 30 days, while the final report may take up to two years.

Following the crash, Ingalls Field Airport was temporarily closed and the victims' remains are undergoing identification.

The cause of the crash has not been determined as the investigation remains active.
