Showalter, known for acclaimed films like 'The Eyes of Tammy Faye' and 'The Big Sick', previously collaborated with Hathaway on the romantic comedy 'The Idea Of You', further solidifying their working relationship.

The film follows Lowen Ashleigh, a struggling writer hired by Jeremy Crawford, the husband of bestselling author Verity Crawford, to complete her unfinished book series after a mysterious accident.
