A 23-year-old man, Romeo Nance, has killed eight people in a series of shootings in the Chicago suburbs.

The motive for the killings is unknown, but Nance is believed to have known the victims.

Nance is considered armed and dangerous and was on the run, with the FBI's fugitive task force assisting in the investigation.

Autopsies are pending to confirm time of death, and public help has been requested to locate the suspect.

In a development, Nance was killed after a confrontation with police in Natalia, Texas.

Nance was related to most, if not all, of the victims, who ranged in age from 14 to 47.

Two more victims were found while authorities were searching for Nance.

Nance had a history of criminal charges and traffic violations.

There seems to be no connection between the shootings at the homes and the two other victims.

The investigation is ongoing.
