The California Faculty Association (CFA) and the California State University (CSU) system have reached a tentative agreement after days of striking.

The agreement includes a total of 10% salary increase for all faculty members and improved parental leave.

The agreement also includes a $3,000 raise for the lowest-paid faculty members, improved access to gender neutral bathrooms and lactation spaces, and protections for faculty who interact with police.

CSU Chancellor Mildred García expressed satisfaction with the agreement, stating it allows the university to compensate its faculty while ensuring long-term financial sustainability.

The strike involved approximately 29,000 faculty, librarians, and staff members and potentially jeopardized classes for the system's 450,000 students.

The agreement will be ratified in the coming weeks.
