Ochy Raises €1.7M to Revolutionize Running with AI-Driven Motion Analysis via Smartphone
February 19, 2025
Ochy, a Rennes-based startup founded in 2021 by Khaldon Evans, Perrine Chapot, and Victor Dequidt, has successfully raised €1.7 million in a pre-seed funding round led by Redstone’s Social Impact Fund.
This funding round also attracted investments from Look AI Ventures, BPI France, Berkeley SkyDeck, and corporate partners such as Agile Physical Therapy.
With support from adidas and innovative AI solutions, Ochy aims to empower runners and professionals in the sports community through advanced analysis technology.
Khaldon Evans, the Co-founder and CEO, emphasizes the mission to democratize access to motion analysis, making high-quality gait analysis widely available to users.
By recording a simple 10-second video, users receive personalized analysis on key metrics such as stride length and joint angles, along with tailored exercise plans to enhance performance and minimize injury.
Ochy plans to utilize the newly acquired funds to improve its computer vision AI technology, expand its global reach, and enhance community-driven initiatives.
Additionally, adiClub members can take advantage of a one-time offer for three months of access to Ochy’s technology, aimed at improving running performance and reducing injury risk.
The company was inspired by Evans' personal experiences with running injuries caused by poor form, which motivated the team to develop advanced motion analysis technology.
The Ochy platform enables users to analyze their running gait using just a smartphone camera, eliminating the need for special equipment.
In partnership with the adiClub program, Ochy allows members to redeem points for free access to its biomechanics analysis services.
