SpaceX Dominates 2025 Launches with 23 Missions; First Human Polar Orbit Set for March

Following a record-breaking year in 2024, where the Space Coast achieved 93 launches, projections for 2025 suggest a staggering 156 launches.
So far in 2025, there have been 24 planned launches, with 17 from Cape Canaveral and 7 from Kennedy Space Center.
Among the significant upcoming missions is SpaceX's Fram2 mission, scheduled for March 31, which will mark the first polar orbital mission with human passengers.
Additionally, the United Launch Alliance (ULA) has two major missions, USSF-106 and USSF-87, scheduled for the first half of 2025, both of which have been delayed from previous years due to certification processes.
SpaceX is poised to lead the 2025 launch schedule with an impressive 23 missions, all utilizing the Falcon 9 rocket, while Blue Origin plans to conduct just one launch with its New Glenn rocket.
On the same day, March 31, the first human spaceflight of 2025, Crew-10, will take place, featuring a team of four private astronauts led by mission commander Jannicke Mikkelsen.
Just recently, on March 24, SpaceX conducted a classified NROL-69 mission from Cape Canaveral using a Falcon 9 rocket.
Blue Origin's New Glenn rocket is expected to launch its inaugural mission, the ESCAPADE Mars mission, no earlier than June 2025 after facing previous delays.
Looking ahead, numerous lunar and deep space missions are planned through 2026 and beyond, including several initiatives under NASA's Commercial Lunar Payload Services (CLPS) program.
In the realm of lunar exploration, NASA's Artemis II mission, which aims for a crewed lunar orbital flight, is now set for no later than April 2026 due to delays in earlier missions.
