PLD Space has selected the Etlaq spaceport in Duqm, Oman, as its second operational launch site for the MIURA rocket family, significantly expanding its global launch network.

The announcement of this partnership to conduct launches from the Etlaq spaceport was made during the inaugural Etlaq Launch Conference in Muscat, Oman, attended by key figures from both organizations.

The establishment of the Etlaq spaceport aims to meet the increasing commercial demands from the Middle East market and support a growing operational schedule.

This new site will enable PLD Space to conduct a variety of missions, including low-inclination orbits and dedicated missions to the International Space Station.

PLD Space emphasizes the significance of this collaboration in providing flexible and efficient launch services, reinforcing its commitment to 'Any Orbit, Any Time, Any Satellite.'

The partnership is also expected to foster local economic growth in Oman and enhance its role in the global space sector.

The Etlaq spaceport offers advantages such as access to commercially significant orbits and a stable climate for year-round launches.

This agreement provides the Spanish rocket startup with a second launch facility, thereby expanding its operational capabilities.

PLD Space plans to open a third spaceport in the near future to facilitate up to 30 MIURA rocket flights by 2030, enhancing its multi-spaceport operations.

Oman's Etlaq spaceport is designed to accommodate all MIURA rocket variants, including future crewed missions with the LINCE capsule.
