In May 2025, Elon Musk announced plans for SpaceX to construct two Starship towers at Cape Canaveral, with one confirmed for Kennedy Space Center Launch Complex 39A.
The new facility will stand 380 feet tall and will focus on the assembly and integration of the Starship launch vehicle.
As of January 2025, Starship remains in the testing phase, having completed seven test flights since April 2023, with the latest flight occurring earlier this month.
Currently, all Starship development and manufacturing takes place at SpaceX's Starbase in Texas, with test flights launched from Cameron County.
