April 17, 2025
The prize pool for the BGIS 2025 finals has been significantly increased to ₹3.2 crore, up from the previous ₹2 crore, thanks to the successful sale of BGIS 2025 crates.
Initial estimates suggested that crate sales would contribute around ₹50 lakh to the prize pool, but the final increase reached an impressive ₹1.2 crore, raising the stakes for the competition.
This revised prize allocation will distribute ₹1.2 crore among the top 32 teams that participated in earlier rounds, reflecting Krafton's commitment to the competitive gaming community.
The BGIS 2025 finals are scheduled to take place from April 25 to 27, 2025, in Kolkata, featuring 16 top teams, including fan favorites Team Soul and GodLike Esports.
Other notable teams competing in the finals include Medal Esports, Bot Army Esports, 4EVERxREDXROSS, and IQOO Orangutan, among others.
Karan Pathak, Associate Director of Esports at Krafton India, emphasized the remarkable growth of Indian Esports and described this tournament as a celebration of that progress.
The announcement regarding the prize pool increase was made by Krafton India Esports during a Realme event in Delhi, where the crates were introduced to enhance the prize pool.
