Rubina Leal, candidate from Madeira, expressed dissatisfaction with centralism in Lisbon regarding Madeira's representation in the European Parliament.

Despite winning in Madeira, Leal will not be elected to the European Parliament.

Leal plans to advocate for a separate electoral district for the Outermost Regions and propose changes to electoral law.

The PSD-Madeira achieved its best result ever in the European elections, winning 10 out of 11 municipalities.

Leal thanked her supporters and committed to presenting demands to the Azorean elected deputy to advocate for Madeira's interests.
