The development of Overwatch for mobile devices has been confirmed in a new book by Bloomberg reporter Jason Schreier, titled 'Place Nice: The Rise, Fall and Future of Blizzard Entertainment.'

This mobile adaptation is part of Blizzard's ongoing efforts to expand the Overwatch franchise.

Walter Kong, who previously managed content for Overwatch 2, is at the helm of the mobile version's development.

While there are uncertainties surrounding the project, the success of similar mobile games, like Call of Duty Mobile, suggests that Overwatch Mobile is less likely to be abandoned.

Despite many Overwatch projects being scrapped, the mobile version remains in progress, although its development status is currently unclear.

As of now, there is no confirmed release date for Overwatch Mobile.
