Dallas Stars forward Jason Robertson, who has had an impressive season with 35 goals and 45 assists, suffered an injury during a 5-1 loss to the Nashville Predators on April 16, 2025.

Following the injury, head coach Pete DeBoer announced on April 18 that Robertson is classified as week-to-week, ruling him out for at least the initial games of the playoff series against the Colorado Avalanche.

DeBoer described the injury as a typical hockey play, attributing it to the physical style of play exhibited by McCarron.

Robertson, who was drafted in the second round in 2017, is in his sixth season with the Stars and has consistently recorded 79 or more points in each of the last four seasons.

Despite securing second place in the Central Division, the Stars are currently experiencing a season-worst streak of 0-5-2.

While DeBoer expressed optimism about Robertson's potential return, he noted that it would depend on whether the series extends beyond a week.

After the injury incident, Robertson was seen leaving the arena with a brace on his right leg, indicating the severity of the situation.

The Stars are set to host the Colorado Avalanche in Game 1 of the playoff series on April 19, 2025.
