Purdue is looking to harness Mayer's talent alongside a strong returning roster, which includes Trey Kaufman-Renn and Fletcher Loyer, following their recent success with back-to-back Sweet 16 appearances and a national championship game loss to UConn in 2024.

The 18-year-old point guard stands 6-foot-4 and weighs 215 pounds, currently developing with Maccabi Tel Aviv, where he recently scored a career-high 11 points against Bayern Munich.

Mayer recently performed well at the Nike Hoop Summit in Portland, Oregon, where he recorded seven assists in just 19 minutes of play.

After considering offers from Duke and Auburn, Mayer chose Purdue, where he will team up with All-American Braden Smith.
