Oregel signed a homegrown player contract with Chicago Fire in October 2021 and made his first-team debut in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup, gaining valuable experience across multiple roles during his first professional season.

Standing at five-foot-nine, he is noted for his versatility as a midfielder, excelling in attacking roles and significantly contributing to the team's playmaking and goal-scoring opportunities.

In the 2023 season, Oregel primarily played with Chicago Fire II, where he scored three goals and provided two assists in MLS Next Pro before stepping into a more prominent role this season.

Eligible to represent both the United States and Mexico internationally, Oregel has participated in various youth tournaments, including the U-20 team that finished fourth at the 2023 Pan American Games.

Although he is currently considered 'outside of the picture' for the upcoming U-20 World Cup, Oregel's potential is recognized, with expectations for his continued development in game management and offensive control.

Born in Evergreen Park, Illinois, Oregel won the Golden Ball at the 2019 US Youth Soccer National Championship and joined the Chicago Fire academy at age 14, playing a significant role in their success in youth competitions.
