Although he hasn't played competitively since late November 2024, Brynhildsen has been training with TFC in Florida to prepare for the season opener against D.C. United.

Expressing a desire for a new challenge, Brynhildsen noted that the playing style in Denmark did not suit him, despite winning a league championship there.

During his introductory media session, Brynhildsen described himself as an all-around player who enjoys linking up play and creating goal-scoring opportunities.

Before joining FC Midtjylland in 2023, he scored 40 goals for Molde FK and 13 goals for Stabæk, totaling 76 goals and 33 assists in 267 games throughout his career.

Negotiations for Brynhildsen's transfer took several months, with the player consulting former teammates and TFC players about the move.

Toronto's 2025 MLS season is set to kick off on February 22, 2025, with a match against D.C. United.

Internationally, the 25-year-old has earned four caps for Norway, most recently during UEFA Euro 2024 qualifying, and hopes to earn more opportunities with the national team.
