On December 20, 2024, the New England Revolution announced the signing of defender Tanner Beason to a two-year contract that runs through the 2026 Major League Soccer (MLS) season, with an option for 2027.

Beason, 27, joins the Revolution after five seasons with the San Jose Earthquakes, where he made 121 appearances and contributed two assists.

Before entering the MLS, Beason had a distinguished college career at Stanford University, winning three NCAA National Championships and earning accolades such as First Team All-American and PAC-12 Player of the Year.

Selected 12th overall in the 2020 MLS SuperDraft, Beason has accumulated over 8,000 regular season minutes since his debut.

In the 2024 season, he started 17 out of 26 league matches and participated in three Leagues Cup matches and two Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup matches.

Beason set personal bests in 2022 with 28 appearances and 25 starts, maintaining discipline with only 25 fouls and six cautions over his five seasons.

Revolution Sporting Director Curt Onalfo praised Beason as a seasoned MLS starter who will enhance the team's defense, a sentiment echoed by Head Coach Caleb Porter.

Beason is the third center-back acquired by the Revolution during the winter transfer window, following Brayan Ceballos and Mamadou Fofana.
