The Seattle Sounders have advanced to the Western Conference Semifinals of the 2024 Audi MLS Cup Playoffs, achieving this milestone for the 14th time in 16 seasons.

In their Round One matchup, the Sounders triumphed over the Houston Dynamo, winning both matches in penalty-kick shootouts.

As they prepare for the next round, the Sounders are waiting to see the outcome of the series between LAFC and the Vancouver Whitecaps.

The decisive Match Three between LAFC and Vancouver is scheduled for November 8 at 7:30 p.m. PT.

LAFC, the top seed in the Western Conference, won the first match against Vancouver 2-1 but suffered a 3-0 defeat in the second match.

Should LAFC win, they will host the Sounders in the next round; if Vancouver prevails, the Sounders will host the Whitecaps at Lumen Field.

Seattle's leading scorer Jordan Morris and assist leader Albert Rusnák missed the second match of Round One due to injury but are expected to return for the next round.

The league will take a break during the FIFA International Window, with postseason play resuming on the weekend of November 22.
