Following their recent 1-0 victory over the Colorado Rapids, Schmetzer made no changes to the lineup, indicating confidence in his team's performance.

This match marks the 122nd meeting between Seattle and Portland since their first encounter in 1975, with Seattle leading the all-time series with 57 wins to Portland's 47, alongside 17 draws.

A win for Seattle would not only secure their qualification for the 2025 Concacaf Champions Cup but also solidify their position in the playoffs.

In addition to playoff implications, a victory would allow Seattle to claim the 2024 Cascadia Cup, while a loss or draw would hand the regional title to Portland.
