75th National Book Awards: Major Wins for Kingsolver, Everett, and De León; McKinnon Hosts
November 21, 2024On November 20, 2024, the 75th annual National Book Awards were hosted by comedian and writer Kate McKinnon.

In Young People’s Literature, the award was won by "Kareem Between" by Shifa Saltagi Safadi.
W. Paul Coats was recognized with the Literarian Award for Outstanding Service to the American Literary Community for his contributions through Black Classic Press.
