Despite doctors estimating a four-week recovery period, she made a remarkable return just two weeks post-surgery to compete in the Ford Championship in Arizona, where she finished in 73rd place.

While Lopez Ramirez leads the LPGA in driving distance with an average of 291.69 yards, her recovery has seen her average drop to just 269 yards during the first round of the LA Championship.

Julia Lopez Ramirez, a promising 22-year-old rookie on the LPGA tour, is currently recovering from an emergency appendectomy that has impacted her driving distance.

During her comeback, Lopez Ramirez experienced abdominal pain, which affected her performance as she sought to compete as a determined rookie.

In her second tournament following surgery, the JM Eagle LA Championship at El Caballero Country Club, she shot a solid 4-under 68 in the first round, placing her five shots behind the leader, Ashleigh Buhai.

She estimates that her inability to work out during recovery has cost her a loss of 10 to 15 yards in driving distance, compounded by significant weight loss due to her abdominal pain.
