Jordan Spieth underwent wrist surgery in August 2023 due to pain and instability that affected his performance, particularly at the FedEx St. Jude Championship.

The surgery involved reconstructing the tendon in his left wrist to prevent dislocation, a condition that had troubled him for years.

Spieth described the surgery as urgent, referring to it with the acronym ASAP, emphasizing the necessity of his recovery.

As of December 2024, Spieth reported a successful recovery with no pain in his wrist, allowing him to hit golf balls without restrictions.

He has been gradually increasing his practice, starting with hitting Nerf balls to refine his mechanics before transitioning back to regular golf balls.

Looking ahead, Spieth aims to play three consecutive weeks in upcoming tournaments, which he sees as vital for building stamina and competition readiness.

He is expected to return to competitive play on the Tour in January 2025.

Reflecting on his recovery, Spieth noted initial difficulties with his ball-striking ability post-surgery but expressed satisfaction with recent improvements in his swing mechanics.

In addition to his golf practice, Spieth has participated in filming for a potential role in 'Happy Gilmore 2,' where he had a speaking part alongside other professional golfers.

He highlighted the collaborative nature of the film project, mentioning other Tour professionals involved, including Lee Trevino, Jack Nicklaus, and Rickie Fowler.
